Can you imagine the big bad wolf making friends with the lamb?
Can you imagine forgiveness and redemption breaking the cycle of violence and pain?
These questions were posed by our inspiring and creative dual-sermon of sorts from last week, and it certainly can be difficult to imagine those things coming to fruition amidst our newsfeeds filled with suffering and conflict. Yet both Bryan Moyer Suderman and the play we saw before it gave us words of hope to help us latch on to God’s seemingly impossible vision:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid … There’s a new world coming, and it’s already here. Let us begin to live that way!”
Thanks very much to Bryan and to Leane Winger, writer/director of Untitled, as well as to the whole cast and crew of the play, for their thoughtful and creative contributions to last Sunday’s service.
You can listen to Bryan’s songs and meditation again here, or download it here. We are working on possibly getting a recording of the play up on our website in the near future as well, so stay tuned.
