Camp Details
Join us this August for five days of fun together! This year’s theme is “Waves of Wonder” and we’ll be looking at stories about all kinds of water! Your kids will learn to celebrate the many ways we see water in nature, how to care for the earth and its water, what water symbolizes in different parts of the Bible, and how central it is to our physical and spiritual lives.
Daily Schedule
8:45 AM — Drop-off
9:00 AM — Large group singing, drama, small group talk time
9:40 AM — Station Rotation (Bible story, art or science projects, active games, and snack)
11:30 AM — Large group singing, recap

12:15 PM — Field Trip!
2:45 PM — Return to EMC, pack up
3:00 PM — Pick up for full-day campers
Field Trips
The afternoon field trips will be things like the zoo, picnics in the park, and swimming. All field trip costs will be included in the cost of camp.
*Note: the exact field trips haven’t been finalized yet. We’ll let you know closer to the date so that you know how to prepare for the day!
Camp Ages
These camps are being offered for kids going into grades 1-6. If your child is younger than that, you may be able to sign them up for the mornings only option, pending approval by EMC staff. We may require a parent/guardian to accompany younger children. If your child is older than grade 6, maybe they’d like to be a junior volunteer instead! If so, they should talk to Rachel!
CAMP SUNDAY BBQ – August 17
This year we’re following up our week of day camps with Camp Sunday, where our usual Sunday morning service gets taken over by summer camp fun. We’ll sing camp songs, watch a slideshow of pictures and videos from the camp week, and share some of what we learned. That will be followed by a BBQ lunch! We’d love to see all campers and their families present, with kids in their camp t-shirts!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is lunch provided? What about other food?
A: Lunch is not provided. If your child is attending the full day camp, please pack a peanut-free lunch and snack. We will provide one morning snack.
Q: My child has a friend who doesn’t attend the church, but would like to come to camp. Can they sign up, too?
A: Absolutely! Our camps are open to all kids! Feel free to send the link to this page to anyone you know who might be interested.
Q: My child has a physical or mental condition that makes some activities difficult for them. Can they still come to camp?
A: Of course! You’ll be asked in the sign-up form to describe anything that could limit your child’s participation or require accommodation. Once we have that information, we’ll do our best to adjust our planning so that it works for everyone! That’s also part of why we aren’t finalizing our field trips yet; we want to make sure no one feels left out because they can’t participate in what we have planned!
Q: Who will be running this camp? Can I trust them with my child?
A: All of our staff and adult volunteers are required to complete a criminal record check. Additionally, we do Child Safe training with our staff and volunteers to ensure we are meeting every standard to keep your children safe and feeling safe! We will also have at least one First Aid certified staff/volunteer around at all times and a fully-stocked first aid kit. Our facility is equipped with first aid kits and an AED.
Q: What’s included in the registration cost? Will there be any extra costs?
A: Registration includes everything except for lunch! That fee covers all activity supplies, all field trip costs, one snack daily, and a t-shirt for every camper! There won’t be any extra costs.
Q: What if I can’t afford to send my kid(s)?
A: We don’t want the cost to be prohibitive for any family sending their kids to camp. We do everything we can to keep costs down, but if the registration fee is just not possible for your family this year, please contact the church to ask about possible discounts for families with multiple kids, or registration subsidies for families who need financial assistance.
